Q. I'm a Texas Tax-Exempt Organization. How do I place a tax-free order?
A. The state doesn't make this easy; but here's the easiest way we've come up with: Place your order, and pay the tax. Then fax your organization's SIGNED and COMPLETED tax exemption certificate to (972) 722-7947, and include the order number on the fax. We will refund the sales tax to your credit card. We will also update your customer account to "tax-exempt" status. From then on you will be able to purchase anything tax-free from our website.
Please don't send us your Federal Tax ID number; the State of Texas doesn't care about your Federal tax status. You can download a copy of the Texas State Sales Tax Exemption Certificate from the Texas State Comptroller's website.
As an alternative to getting a refund, you can set up your account on our website before you purchase, then fax us your form & the email address you used for your account before you purchase, and we'll set up your tax free status in advance of your purchase. That can take 1 to 3 days to process.

Q. How should I take care of my DVDs & CDs?
A. Keep your DVDs and CDs stored in their original cases, or if those become damaged, replace them with similar ones. Don't ever place them "shiny side down" on any surface. Above all, avoid touching the shiny surfaces with your fingers; clean or not.

Q. Why do you repeat some songs on the worship DVDs? (Note: there is no song duplication on the CDs)
A. It's a matter of design. Here's how we designed the series, and why:
The 12 DVDs with a total of 72 songs are organized by month. They are designed to be used in the same manner that an experienced worship leader would present the songs through one year in a worship setting. In adult worship, many songs are repeated through the year. We've had experienced leaders in children's worship plan out a whole year of music for kids' ministry, so lay people won't have to.
With 72 songs in the year-round collections, very few adult congregations sing that many songs through the year. We're pleased to be presenting more variety than many "grown-ups" experience in worship. While everybody wouldn't like every song equally, we think we've presented more useful song choices on any given DVD (14 songs) than anybody else.
In addition, we've included 24 countdown clocks (two new ones every month) and a full year of worship orders that don't repeat. While most record companies are selling only 7 to 12 songs for anywhere from $18 to $85 per DVD, that are difficult-at-best to navigate with a room full of active kids, we think we give you the best value out there.

Q. I can't play the worship orders. What's up with that?
A. It's probably your DVD player. Older DVD players don't always handle the advanced programming features we've included in this product. The good news is that a new $35 discount department store DVD player will work better and do more than that one you paid $300 for 5 years ago. And when one of your kids tries to load a Ritz cracker that he dipped in his Cool-Aid into a $35 player, you won't feel nearly as bad.

Q. Are the recordings "split-track" or "stereo" mixes?
A. The CDs are split-track, the DVDs are stereo, unless otherwise indicated.

Q. What is "split-track?"
A. Split-track recordings have the instruments and the voices sent to separate speakers. God's Kids Worship CDs have the instruments in the left, and the voices on the right. For performances, you can easily turn down the original voice tracks and replace them with your children's choir. Or, you can mix in just enough voice tracks to give your singers confidence to sing out.

Q. Can I program the DVDs to play my own worship orders?
A. No. This is a limitation of the DVD format; it isn't programmable by the end user. We've gotten around this by making the songs you select from the "All Songs" menu automatically return to the "All Songs" menu when they finish playing, so you can quickly select and play any song in the list.
Some CD players will allow you to pre-program the song order; but most won't. Check the manual of your CD player to see if it can do that.

Q: What kind of files are the sheet music song files?
A: They are Adobe Acrobat ".pdf" files. They are unrestricted versions that can be printed, copied to other documents, moved from computer to computer, archived on a CD-ROM etc. To download the free version of "Acrobat Reader," go to http://www.adobe.com and download the free current version for your computer and operating system.

Q. Are the sheet music files the original songs, or are they versions from the CDs and DVDs?
A. They are versions from the God's Kids Worship CDs and DVDs. They are arranged so you will be able to easily play and sing along with God's Kids Worship CDs and DVDs.

Q: How many copies of a sheet music file can I keep and may I print?
A: You may keep only one copy plus a back-up. We suggest you back it up to a CD-ROM or some other storage in case your hard drive crashes. You may print one copy. If you lose or damage the printed copy, you may print a replacement copy any time, and as often as you need to. You may not under any circumstances sell copies of the files or sheet music.
CHURCHES AND SCHOOLS: YOU MAY PRINT AS MANY COPIES OF EACH SONG AS ARE NECESSARY FOR A SINGLE PERFORMANCE BY SOLOISTS AND GROUPS! Please dispose of the printed copies after the performance.

Q: How do I get permission to project the lyrics or print the lyrics in our church bulletin?
A: All you need is your church's current CCLI license; it already covers your kids ministry activities too. All of the songs are licensed with CCLI, or in the public domain. Go ahead and use these songs as you would use any CCLI licensed music.

Q: How do I get permission to make rehearsal copies of the CDs for our performance?
A: Contact support@godskidsworship.com for licensing information. We'll make it as easy and painless as possible, particularly if you select a song that is published by Agnes Day Music. Our licenses will allow you to make as many as you need for rehearsal purposes. You may NOT under any circumstances, sell recordings of the songs, or give them away, except as allowed under your CCLI license.
Please note that for songs that are NOT copyrighted by Agnes Day Music, you must also contact the publisher for a "mechanical license" to make ANY copies.

Q: Why aren't all of the songs from all of the CDs and DVDs available as sheet music?
A: We really wish we could include ALL of the songs. Unfortunately, many publishers won't allow their songs to be sold via the internet as files. When they change their minds, we'll offer their songs. Until then, everything that is published by Agnes Day Music or Sky Taylor Music (our publishing companies) is, or will be available here. And that's most of the songs in the collection.

Q. My DVD/CD doesn't play, or plays intermittently. What should I do?
A: Most playback problems are caused by either of 2 problems:
Problem 1: Dirt, fingerprints or scratches on the playback side of the DVD/CD is causing problems. DVDs are more susceptible to this problem than CDs.
Solution: If a CD or DVD isn't playing back right, first look at the shiny surface. Are there fingerprints, scratches (for DVDs, it can only take one decent scratch to stop it from working) or dirt on the surface? This is often the case if some parts of the DVD/CD work, and some parts don't.
If so, then first try cleaning it. Often, simply cleaning the shiny side can help even scratched CDs & DVDs to work.
First, try to clean the surface by rubbing it with a lint-free, clean cloth on the dirty areas. Rub from the center out, not in a circle around the hole.
If that doesn't work, then wash the CD/DVD under gentle, running water.
Put the CD/DVD under cold to warm running water, and place a few drops of a clear, not creamy, dishwashing detergent on the shiny surface. It doesn't matter if it's purple or green, or clear, as long as you can see through it. Gently wash the dirty or scratched areas with a lint-free clean cloth, from the center out, not in circles around the hole. Rinse completely, and dry completely with a lint free cloth, from the center out, not around the hole. Most of the times, that will do it! Go ahead and try it on those nasty Blockbuster DVDs that look like someone dropped them in their corn flakes. It usually works on them, too.
Problem 2: Faulty or incompatible playback devices. This is more of a problem with DVDs than CDs.
First, make sure the CD/DVD is clean and not tragically scratched. See the cleaning procedures above, if dirty or scratched.
Newer, less expensive DVD players are better able to play various types of DVDs, in a wider variety conditions than older DVD players.
If a CD or DVD isn't working in one player, try it in a couple of other players to see if it will work. If it is clean, the problem is often that for some technical reason the player is incompatible. Again, most newer DVD players will play any kind of DVDs.
In rare instances, the DVD or CD is flawed; but this is by far the least common problem with either DVDs or CDs. If you have made sure your CD or DVD is clean and scratch free, and you are still unable to play it in any CD or DVD players, arrange for a free exchange on our RETURNS page.
